About

Alt-indie pop artist Jessica Woodlee is always getting lost and writing songs about it. With a bold approach to pop, she combines modern pop lyricism and synths with hints of classic blues-and-rock-infused instrumentation to create a fresh yet familiar sound that's all her own. Pulling influences from Maggie Rogers, Maisie Peters, and Taylor Swift, she channels her high emotional sensitivity and life experiences into catchy hooks, unique metaphors, and storytelling.

Jessica has built a reputation as a compelling live performer, blending high-energy pop moments with intimate acoustic storytelling that quickly wins over new audiences. She has performed extensively throughout the Northeast and beyond, appearing at venues including Mercury Lounge NYC and Brighton Music Hall. Recent highlights include performing at the acclaimed We Found New Music showcase and opening for artists such as Christopher (1.8M+ Spotify monthly listeners), Meg Smith (175K+ monthly listeners), Luna Luna (125K+ monthly listeners), Annie O'Malley, Sophie Said, and Kat Kennedy.

Beyond the stage, Jessica has cultivated a dedicated and steadily growing fanbase through her monthly "Pen Pals" program, where she sends handwritten postcards to listeners around the country. What began as a simple way to connect more personally with fans has evolved into a defining part of her artist project. Combined with her commitment to releasing a new song every month throughout 2026, the initiative has helped foster a highly engaged community that actively supports her music online and at shows.

Through consistent releases, live performances, and a relentless DIY spirit, Jessica has garnered over 15,000 followers across social media. Her music is regularly featured on college, local, internet, and syndicated radio stations, leading to interviews and performances on numerous radio programs throughout the country. Her honest lyrics, often jotted down in her Notes app on the train, have caught the ear of many listeners. Abby Kenna of Indie Spoonful remarked that "Her melodies are the image of pop perfection, immediately getting stuck in your head from the first listen [...]," and Jessica was named one of Atwood Magazine's "50 Artists to Watch."

With relatable songwriting, memorable hooks, and a rapidly growing community of listeners eager to sing every word back, Jessica Woodlee continues to build momentum one song, one show, and one postcard at a time.
